Ethan Burdick Drops First-Ever Release

Today, April 17, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Burdick released his eagerly awaited debut single, “I Get The Picture,” available now via Back Blocks Music.

Burdick co-wrote the track alongside Ricky Manning and Nick Bailey. “Once we had the title, we decided to go all in on the metaphor and tried to write in as many details as we could think of to really put the listener in the moment of the situation, experiencing it with every lyric so by the time that final gut punch line hits, it lands even harder,” shares the artist to watch. “Watching someone else get everything you want or once had is sadly such a universal experience, I hope listeners hear this and know it’s okay to feel heartbroken or devastated over it and they’re not alone.”

Produced by Lukas Scott and Mike Robinson, Burdick had been teasing the track on social media, which received more than five million views on TikTok and nearly doubled his Instagram following. The overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from fans and peers made it a clear choice for his debut single. With interactions/support from Teddy Swims, Kelsea Ballerini, Julia Michaels, HARDY, Jensen McRae,Jamie Miller, Maverick City and more, Burdick is capturing the eye of some of the industry’s top creatives.

The 21-year-old talent got his start playing drums in marching band, jazz band and through small gigs in his hometown, which led to his discovery for his passion for creating music. The Vancouver, WA native moved to Nashville last year after being discovered via TikTok Live by Back Blocks Founder & CEO, Rakiyah Marshall. A unique mix of power, tone and control, his vocals have a range that is as dynamic live as they are recorded. Inspired by Lizzy McAlpine, Noah Kahan, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, Burdick’s writing is grounded in emotional storytelling, no doubt influenced by growing up with five sisters.

Burdick continues to write and will have additional new music coming out this spring. He will also be performing at the Key West Songwriters Festival in May along with a show at Nashville’s Listening Room on May 20.
