The title track, “I’m Not Him,” brings you side-by-side with the singer-songwriter as he reflects on past decisions that he’s not proud of, and which don’t portray his best self.
Don’t worry momma I’ll be out in a few weeks
I just traded all my freedom for one to many drinks
I know you love me in the midst of all my sin
Heaven knows that was me but I’m not him
Serving as learning lessons, every step of the way for the twenty-one-year-old has made him who he is today. I’m Not Him will undoubtedly cement his place in the industry, boasting heartbreakingly honest songwriting and a unique, authentic approach to artistry.
“I never write to serve a particular audience or to jump on a trend,” shares Nance. “I truly just write from my heart and hope it resonates with others. I’ve learned the hard way a lot in life, but I hope my music can meet someone where they’re at and help them with whatever they may be facing. I wrote the title track with Brett Truitt and Cooper Hill, and it came to life pretty easily. I’m just thankful to be where I’m at, sharing my story and making music for a living.”
Between amassing millions of streams and currently touring alongside Kidd G gaining fresh new fans each night he performs, Tyler shows no signs of slowing down.
