HEY NOW Records Announces Marketing Team

Newly formed HEY NOW Records has announced its marketing team, consisting of Melissa McGreevy as Sr. Director Digital Marketing, Samantha Kane as Director, Marketing and Aidan Brown as Digital Marketing Coordinator.
“Reaching people in ways that are meaningful is critical at this juncture,” says President and Co-Founder, Kris Lamb. “Melissa, Samantha and Aidan all believe in the power of what music means and why the artists who make that music matter. Each has a very specific take, not just on how they execute their job, but how to communicate so people respond.”
Focusing on the consumer, the company is looking to impact people who love music in a way that speaks authentically to the way they experience songs, albums and other types of musical activations. For HEY NOW Records, every song offers a moment that might define someone’s life.
“Melissa spent her developmental years in San Francisco managing seriously high-impact influencer campaigns for Amazon, DOVE and the NFL Shop at CLEVER Influencer Marketing, so she recognizes the power of how people communicate to each other,” Lamb says of McGreevy. “She connects the message not just to, but through people, and there’s a reason her colleagues refer to her as ‘a living example of a ray of sunshine.’ There’s no substitute for the human touch in a world of highly digitized and frequently by-the-template marketing and social media.
“Sam, who got her start at the Country Music Association, rose from Promotions Coordinator at Big Machine to being our Marketing and Events Manager,” Lamb continues, addressing Kane. “We were able to steal her from the Opry where she was their Artist & Industry Relations manager, working to create partnerships and engagements, so her ability to bring the various fans, sponsors and opportunities together is exciting. Being hands on matters, and that defines Sam.”
Becoming the first independent label in history and only the third label to lock the country radio panel on a single’s first week, HEY NOW is committed to breaking ground and creating more authentic ways to deliver an artist’s music to the people. With an eye to respecting the roots of where each artist comes from, the label also seeks to get the music to people who don’t realize how much they’ll love it.
“Trying to find someone who can match these two executives for passion and their sheer ability to get the job done was no small task. Aidan graduated from the University of Miami in December with a summa cum laude degree in Communications Studies,” Lamb explains. “He has interned at PLAYDATE Management and Big Machine, where I met him, and recognized his commitment to being part of a larger team that is relentless in their pursuit of giving artists the absolute best. He’s the perfect man for the job.”
As HEY NOW Records continues developing, the label is building its team to serve the needs to recognizes as the most critical. With the promotion staff in place, marketing was the next team to put in place. Other key staff and department announcements will be made shortly.
“Foundation is everything for what we’re setting out to do,” Lamb reiterates. “We are creating a record label from the ground up, seeking music, artists and executives who share our vision of artists first. When people believe there’s a way to deliver for artists and their music that’s tailored to everything they not only need, but deserve, extraordinary things can happen.”
